“Orange Is The New Black” Star Danielle Brooks Is Manifesting A Romance Movie Role: ‘T’ll Be Patient’
Danielle Brooks is ready to step into her romance era.
The actress, best known for her role as Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, recently shared two career goals with fans, writing, “Still waiting for my romantic movie… and my beauty ambassador deal… but I’ll be patient.” A Juilliard-trained performer, Brooks has built an impressive career since graduating from the prestigious school.
In addition to her breakout role on #OITNB, which aired from 2013 to 2019, Brooks has taken on a range of standout projects, including the critically acclaimed 2023 second film adaptation of #TheColorPurple. She portrayed Sofia in the film, reprising the role she also played on #Broadway in 2015.
So the question is: who should star opposite #DanielleBrooks in her first romance film?
