Issa Rae Inks First-Look Film & Television Producing Deal At Paramount

Let’s give it up for Issa Rae!

#IssaRae is taking her talents to Paramount with a three-year first-look film and television producing deal starting this month. The multi-hyphenate previously had an eight-figure overall pact at WarnerMedia, where she developed hits including A Black Lady Sketch Show, Rap Sh!t, and Sweet Life.

“Issa is a true creative force whose work consistently feels fresh, funny, and deeply human,” Paramount Pictures co-chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein said in a joint statement. “She epitomizes the kind of exceptional artist we’re proud to partner with across film and TV to break new ground in elevated storytelling.” Fans have been demanding more from Issa, who is best known for creating and starring in #HBO’s hit Insecure, and her company Hoorae, and it looks like supporters are about to get their wish!
