“RHOP” Star Karen Huger Shares How Fellow Inmates Removed Their Extensions To Give Her Braids During DUI Jail Stint
#KarenHuger clearly had people looking out for her on the inside.
In a sneak peek of the Real Housewives of Potomac season finale, Karen is seen reuniting with her family following her release after serving time related to a DUI stemming from a 2024 crash near Oaklyn Drive in Potomac, Maryland. During the emotional homecoming, Karen, wearing braids tucked beneath a silk scarf, revealed that fellow inmates removed their own hair extensions so they could provide her with braiding hair, giving her fresh “jailhouse braids.” “I think it’s so beautiful,” Karen told her impressed loved ones.
#TheJasmineBRAND exclusively reported that Karen would be released early after serving just six months, returning home in September 2025. She was originally sentenced to two years, with one year suspended, along with $2,900 in fines and five years of probation. Karen Huger’s family reunion and an interview with #AndyCohen will air on February 1.
