New England Patriots Reportedly Releasing Stefon Diggs Following Super Bowl Loss

Stefon Diggs could be taking his talents elsewhere.

According to multiple sports reports, the New England Patriots have informed the veteran wide receiver that they plan to release him once the new league year begins on March 11. The move comes after just one season in New England, which ended with a 29–13 Super Bowl loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Once the release becomes official, Diggs will hit free agency. While the exact reasoning behind the decision hasn’t been detailed, the shift signals a new chapter for both the 32-year-old standout and the Patriots as they look ahead to the 2026 NFL season.
