President Obama was accidentally elbowed during a basketball game over the holiday weekend. In a released statement from White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, “After being inadvertently hit with an opposing player’s elbow in the lip while playing basketball with friends and family, the President received 12 stitches today administered by the White House Medical Unit.” In non lip news, Barbara Walters interview with President Obama and First Lady, Michelle Obama, airs on ABC Friday (tonight) at 10 p.m.
