Antoine Dodson Proves He Is No Longer Gay, Announces That He’s Expecting A Baby With Girlfriend
Earlier this year, Antoine Dodson (who became famous YouTube sensation after declaring, ‘Hide Your Wife, Hide Your Kids’) explained that he and his sexuality had a change of heart. Earlier this year, in an interview with Huffington Post Live, the 23-year-old explained that he was no longer a homosexual:
Even back then, before I even came out and said “I’m gay, this, that and the other…” I was dating women. Growing up in school I was dating women so this is not new to me. I’ve always liked the art of a woman. I’ve always liked that. I guess it got to the point so much that I tried to like actually be that instead of being with that. I was like, “You know what? This is just foolishness, let me just get back to who I am.
He also wrote in a Facebook message:
I have to renounce myself, I’m no longer into homosexuality I want a wife and family, I want to multiply and raise and love my family that I create. I could care less about the fame and fortune, I’ve giving all that up to know the true history of the bible.
And it appears he’s living his truth. This week, he announced that he and his girlfriend are expecting:
I just became the happiest man alive!! My beautiful Queen and I are having a baby!!
No word on who the lucky lady is, but congrats!

I’m happy for him and wish him and his family the best. It’s so funny on one hand we tell people “be who you are” and on the other hand we try to define what that means. Last week everyone was telling Mr. Cee to just come out of the closet and tell his truth. Antoine is telling his truth– he was living as a gay man and now wants to live as a straight man. The Kinsey Scale (best research we have on human sexuality spectrum) shows that most people aren’t exclusively straight or gay but somewhere in the continuum. (Almost everybody knows a jawn who had gay experiences for a hot minute in college or after a few too many drinks and then went on to marry a man and live happily ever after lol) Orientation really only describes who we are physically and emotionally attracted too. If he’s saying that he’s been attracted to both and now wants to persue women exclusively, that’s his right and his choice. Nothing suspect or shady– just his right as a human being. And just maybe, if we learned to accept ALL of who people are we wouldn’t have so many people afraid to come on out of the closet.

In my opinion it is suspect. Not b/c he is/was gay. It’s b/c he was sooo flamboyantly gay.
You have a right to your opinion… I’d just caution you not to use “flamboyantly gay” as a measuring stick. This guy didn’t hide who he was before or currently. A WHOLE LOT of guys you would never imagine to be men who sleep with men are hiding a whole lot more. And it is precisely attitudes like the one you’re expressing that keep people locked in patterns of secrecy and shame. Despite what pop culture tells us, being gay isn’t the same as being in a gang- once in always in. Human sexuality is a spectrum. When you force labels onto people and make uninformed judgments on them nobody wins and but a lot of folks get hurt.
