Meagan Good: ‘I always felt judged.’ + Why She’s Adamant About Abstaining Before Marriage
Hollywood starlet Meagan Good is covering the latest issue of Rolling Out. Just a few days before Think Like A Man Too hits theaters, the 32-year-old actress talks about the double-standards in Hollywood, why marriage makes it better and how she is adamant about abstaining from sex before marriage. Check out a few excerpts.
Hollywood’s double standards of black vs white actresses being nude:
If Angelina Jolie goes topless, everyone goes ‘Wow, she’s so badass, so committed to her craft’. But if Halle Berry goes topless, everyone’s like ‘She’s a slut. She probably took a bunch of money to do that.’ People attack her with unsavory names. And it’s unfortunate. Halle is one my favorite actresses — I’ve looked up to her since I began this journey. There’s definitely a double standard but I can’t put my finger on exactly why that is. If someone is telling a story, they should go to whatever extent that they’re comfortable with to tell the story. Whatever they feel is necessary.
How marriage has made her better:

I love Megan
Megan doesnt need my approval, however, she definately has it. Its okay to be comfortable in your own skin. Folks are quick to judge without first taking inventory of themselves.
I’m all for being comfortable in your own skin, but some of her clothing choices are often inappropriate for a “pastor’s” wife. He should be saying something if anything.
