Welcome Back! Rapper Meek Mill Released From Prison
He’s officially a free man.
Last night (December 2), rapper Meek Mill (real name Robert Williams) was released from jail. The 27-year-old rapper had been incarcerated for the last five months for failing to comply with the conditions of his prohibition, stemming from a 2009 conviction on drug and gun charges. Reportedly, he failed a drug test, appeared to use a gun in a music video, booked out-of-state tour dates without consent of the court and failed to keep in communication with his probation officer.
According to Philly.com, the stipulations of his release states he will not be able to leave Philadelphia or perform any concerts until he completes community service and treatment. While in prison, Meek completed three programs–anger management, drug treatment and parenting classes.
