Deuces! Kathy Griffin Quits ‘Fashion Police’: My style does not fit the show.
It appears to be a sinking ship over at E! — at least when it comes to Fashion Police. On Thursday evening, Kathy Griffin (real name Kathleen Mary “Kathy” Griffin), officially quit the show, sharing the news on social media. The 54-year-old comedian who replaced Joan Rivers, was quite candid in her lengthy exit stage left letter. In part of her ‘deuces’ letter, she writes:
When I chose to sep into the shoes of my beloved friend Joan Rivers at Fashion Police, I was thrilled to continue her legacy as a woman being brash and eccentric on television. I am a freedom-loving female and gay rights activist who loves to find the funny in all people, attitudes, believes, and appearances, but only when the context permits intelligent humor.
I thought that I could bring my brand of humor to Fashion Police so that beautiful people in beautiful dresses could be teased when appropriate.

Some shows are not meant to continue after they loose such a pivotal character. It wouldn’t be the first time a show couldn’t survive the loss. As much as I love Kathy, I couldn’t bring myself to watch fashion police after Joan dies. Too Painful. I didn’t want to be reminded that Joan was dead.
