Will Smith: ‘It Takes Everything You Have to Raise Teenagers’ [VIDEO]
In a recent interview on ‘The Ellen Show’, Academy Award nominated actor Will Smith, explains the challenge of raising teenagers, his upcoming tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff and new music. ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ alumni also discuss his upcoming role in a new movie. How he and his wife (Jada Pinkett Smith) choose to raise their teenagers and allow them to be naturally creative:
It takes everything you have to like, raise teenagers. Because we’re artists (him and wife Jada) we decided a long time ago that it’s sort of better to flow with what people are naturally, more than what our egos need them to be. We try to find the things they are good at and support those things, rather than forcing them.
His upcoming tour with musical partner, DJ Jazzy Jeff:
We never had a chance to go out and do a full tour. We released our first album in 1986, Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble was our first record, but by 1990, I was already on “The Fresh Prince” so in that time, we were just getting started and never actually had a chance to go on tour so I really want to get out there and do it for real.
