Kirk Franklin Apologizes to Gays On Behalf of the Church [VIDEO]
Kirk Franklin is not a fan of how he feels some churches negatively treat the gay community. On Friday, the gospel singer visited The Breakfast Club to promote his new album and spoke candidly about how he feels the religious community views gays. He stated:
I want to apologize for all the horrible things that have been said through the many decades…Just the way we dehumanize them in church…How we utilize their talents….
When asked if the bible addresses homosexuality, he explained:
Yes it does…God has established a way in his book — that he has a plan for all of our lives….The problem is that we make the bible — this attack manual against gay people.
He continues,
Kirk Franklin ain’t the authority. It is not a mandate to attack gay people. You’ve gotta attack fornicators…The great news is the grace is greater…
