Wale Says Grammys Changed Kendrick Lamar + Boosie Heads To Surgery For Kidney Cancer
Does success — or snagging a Grammy — have the potential to go to a rapper’s head? According to Wale, this is exactly what happened. On Monday, the rapper was having an impromptu Q&A with fans. A fan suggested that Wale collaborate with Kendrick Lamar. And Wale responded that once Kendrick received a Grammy, he changed.
[FYI: Kendrick received a total of seven nominations at the 2014 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. A year later, at the 2015 Grammy Awards, he won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his song “i”. He received his second Album of the Year nomination at the 58th Grammy Awards, also leading the list with 11 categories.] Kendrick has yet to respond.
