Angie Stone: ‘No, I did not knock out my daughter’s teeth’ [VIDEO]
‘No, I did not knock out my daughter’s teeth’, Angie Stone told Steve Harvey during her appearance this week on the Steve Harvey Show.
As previously reported, the soulful R&B singer, who was a cast member on the now cancelled R&B Divas Atlanta reality show, was involved in an altercation with her adult daughter, Diamond Stone, last March. There are conflicting reports as to what went down. Angie does admit that the two did exchange physical punches.
Angie admits that Diamond did lose a tooth, but that it was already decaying.
I think that in her defense, I think the tooth probably fell out because one had fallen out a week prior to that tooth falling out.
Angie tells Harvey:
We were definitely in an altercation. It’s not that I’m proud of it. But you not gonna fight me in my house. You not gonna fight me, period. I am your mother, and that’s how that goes.
However, the police report, the DeKalb County police department, paints a different picture. They state that Angie struck her daughter with a metal stand, knocking out her teeth. Angie was charged with aggravated assault and later released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
So what triggered their fight? According to Diamond, Angie came into her room demanding that she clean it up and ordered her to control her children, who were running half-naked around the singer’s home.
