Deuces! Find Out Why Lee Daniels Left Richard Pryor Biopic
Lee Daniels has thrown up the deuces and will no longer direct the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic, according to Deadline.
The co-creator and showrunner for the hit series, ‘Empire’, has left The Weinstein Company and will no longer direct the film that will star comedian Mike Epps.
Just last week, we posted a clip of Lee complaining about how Hollywood treats black directors and writers.
However, reportedly his departure is not because of behind the scenes drama, but because of scheduling conflicts.
No further changes have been made to the biopic cast, with Epps playing Pryor, co-starring with Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Hudson.
