Judy Smith has landed a new project! The crisis communications specialist, who is also the inspiration behind Scandal and is a co-executive producer of the series, has snagged a new mystery movie called, The Adjuster. The made for TV film will air on Hallmark. She also has a development deal with the network. Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks said in a statement,

The new mystery movie is loosely based off her real-life experiences and professional work.
“The Adjuster” centers on a burned-out ex-district attorney and single mom Sydney Polk, who moves with her two teenage sons to a small town seeking a simpler life. However, she ends up finding more drama than she anticipated while working on her weekly podcast “Problem Solved,” where everyday people call in to share their own personal problems. Sydney was born to help people and turning anyone away isn’t in her DNA but as her life gets more chaotic, can she be “The Adjuster” of her own life?
Judy is best known for her expertise in crisis management and has served as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies. Smith has consulted on a number of high profile cases and the series “Scandal” revolves around the life and professional work of a “fixer”.
