EXCLUSIVE: “Hit The Floor” Creator James LaRosa Talks Representation – Everyone deserves to be seen. [Trailer]
The Red Devils are back! Tonight the new season of the hit series, Hit the Floor, returns to BET. Created by James LaRosa, the series chronicles the off-the-court drama surrounding the Los Angeles Devils, a fictional professional basketball team. In an exclusive interview with theJasmineBRAND, LaRosa admits that he appreciates the shows representation. He says,
I’m happy we have an opportunity to do that; everyone has a voice and a place and seeing someone on this show, helps them see that.
He continues,
I think its important, general representation across the board, whether its sex scenes or romantic highs, romantic lows or identity crisis, everyone deserves to be seen.
Hit The Floor actress Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, who plays Lionel Davenport an A-list actress and Pete’s ex-wife who marries Oscar, teases what fans can expect from her character this season.
Lionel is single this season. She’s not married she’s not divorced, she’s not trying to be with anybody, she’s single… She’s trying to get with everybody!
