Aretha Franklin Visited by Stevie Wonder, Singer Receiving Hospice Care
According to reports, on Tuesday Stevie Wonder visited an ailing Aretha Franklin. She was also visited by her ex husband Glynn Turman. Rev. Jesse Jackson will be visiting her today (Wednesday).
A spokeswoman for the singer’s family confirmed the visits and said in a statement that Ms. Franklin, 76, is
“seriously ill and surrounded by family members who appreciate the outpouring of love and support they have received.”
No additional details of Ms. Franklin’s illness were given. It is rumored that she has been battling with cancer.
On Monday, Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed at Ford Field in Detroit and dedicated their concert to Ms. Franklin.
