EXCLUSIVE: Lil Wayne’s Agency Drops Lawsuit Against NBA’s Frank Mason
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Lil Wayne’s sports agency has dropped their nearly $100k legal battle with NBA star Frank Mason.
Earlier this year, Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports Group sued Mason accusing him of refusing to give back a diamond Young Money chain worth $11k.
Mason signed to Wayne’s agency in early 2017, and paid him $40,000 for his pre-NBA draft expenses (for a total of $52,000) and then gave him a $11k diamond Young Money chain.
Here’s a post of Wayne showing support for Mason.
However, Young Money Agency said the deal signed stated Mason would have to repay the money loaned and give back the chain, if he ever left the agency. Mason later fired the agency, but never repaid them or gave back the jewelry.
Young Money agency sued for $92,000 in cash, plus the chain being returned along with unspecified damages.
Mason had yet to file a response to the lawsuit, when on August 17th, Young Money APAA Sports Group filed a voluntary dismissal of the entire lawsuit.
The case was closed the same day. The dismissal end the legal battle once and for all for Mason and Young Money.
