Cardi B Channels Lil Kim In Pardison Fontaine “Backin It Up” Video
During MTV VMA’s weekend, Cardi B gave fans a little taste of “Backin It Up” and now the official video is finally here. Pardison Fontaine and Cardi B may have just released the song and video of the year. In “Backin It Up” Cardi B, who was still pregnant with Kulture at the time the video was shot, channels Lil Kim’s crush on you with colorful wigs, sunglasses and matching furs.

Pardi and Cardi go way back. Prior to releasing the video, Cardi posted a throwback video of her and Pardison way before she became a famous household name.
This was before Love and Hip Hop when my IG started blowing up… ?? Me and my nikka @pardi came a long asssss wayyyy. One of our close mutual friends from Newburgh @ashcash_legit put me and @1oo1fm @achontishanise onto his music and we always believed he was going to make it! Pardi has helped me a lot with my growth and development as a recording artist. I’m really happy to be joining him on his next single BACKIN’ IT UP, which will be dropping later on! I did the song and shot the video while I was 5 and a half months pregnant! I was cranky as fuck but I knew that it was going to be a Hit! Hit! Hit!
And a hit it is! Check out the video for “Backin It Up” below.
