Lil Wayne Speaks Out After Stampede Erupts At Atlanta Concert
Lil’ Wayne attempted to perform his new album for the first time during a recent festival in Atlanta, but was halted due to an alleged incident. Over the weekend, the Hip-Hop festival called A3C celebrated it’s 14th year in Atlanta’s packed out Georgia Freight Depot, and while concert goers were excited to see artists like Young M.A, The Diplomats, Wu-Tang Clan, and Phryme, the festival attendees were most excited to see Lil’ Wayne.

Reports say, Wayne was on stage and about five songs in, when people in the crowd began to run, scream, and duck due to allege gunshots being fired. The New Orleans rapper was immediately rushed off of stage by security, and reports are claiming there have been at least 12 minor injuries due to the attendees trying to make it to safety.
It’s alleged a brawl ignited the stampede, but has not been confirmed. The festival’s official Twitter account released a statement, denying there were gunshots were fired.
Sadly, there was altercation tonight that ended Lil’ Wayne’s performance. We are still collecting information to determine exactly what happened and will provide follow up information as soon as we know more details.
