EXCLUSIVE: T.I.’s Georgia Restaurant Bankruptcy Closed
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, the bankruptcy for T.I.’s now-closed Georgia restaurant has officially been closed.
theJasmineBRAND broke the story that Scales 925 filed for bankruptcy earlier this year by Charles Hughes (T.I.’s business partner). The rapper, actor and activist had a 40% interest in the company.
According to court docs, Scales 925 only had assets of $5,000 and liabilities as $0. They claimed they might owe the IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue.
T.I., his business partners were sued various times over Scales 925, including ex-employees for unpaid wages. The rapper denied allegations he was responsible for the ex-employee’s wage issues.
The restaurant had opened in 2015 but closed the following year, following several issues including being sued for eviction.
On October 4, docs were filed by the bankruptcy trustee explaining the bankruptcy is officially closed and all debts are discharged for the business.
The trustee,
“filed a report of no distribution and that said Trustee has performed all other and further duties as required in the administration of said estate”.
