James Ingram Dies At Age 66
Very sad news. Legendary singer and songwriter James Ingram has died at the age of 66. The news was initially confirmed via Debbie Allen, who shared the news on social media tweeted:
“I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir. He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name.”
The Grammy award winning artist collaborated with big names such as Quincy Jones and Anita Baker and was also known musically for his 1983 hit ‘Baby, Come to Me’ and his hit ‘I Don’t Have the Heart’. He also co-wrote Michael Jackson’s smash hit, “P.Y.T.” Reportedly, Ingram died after battling brain cancer. Please send love, light and prayers to his family and friends.
