Amy Winehouse Found Dead in Apartment

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse was found dead Saturday in her North London flat by British police. She was 27 years old.
In the past, Winehouse has had issues with alcohol and drug abuse. She acknowledged her addictions but refused to treat them which inspired her most famous song “rehab“. The police statement said, “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square shortly before 4:05 pm (1505 GMT) today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.” The report went on to state that “On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.” Recently, Winehouse pulled out of a comeback tour after a disastrous performance in Serbia. She also pulled out of festival shows in Istanbul and Athens and her management subsequently cancelled all remaining shows. Our heart goes out to Amy Winehouse, her family and her friends.
