Tyra Banks Comes Out Of Modeling Retirement For ‘Sports Illustrated’ Shoot!
Tyra Banks is back like she never left. The model and actress graced the cover of the magazine for its coveted 2019 swimsuit issue.

See more of her snapshots from inside the issue.

Of course this isn’t her first time taking on the swimsuit issue of the magazine. Banks, 45, made an appearance in its 1993 issue, and came back in 1996 to rock the cover with her fellow model Valeria Mazza. She then made history as the first Black woman to cover the swimsuit issue by herself in 1997. Check that cover out below:

Editor MJ Day said of the iconic model,
“Tyra Banks is the epitome of what we hope for all the women who are a part of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. What she has achieved so far in her career is extraordinary. She has parlayed a modeling career into phenomenal success that spans multiple industries and resonates with people on a global scale. She has refused to be singularly defined and is constantly working to inspire everyone within her reach.”
