Kevin Hart & Tiffany Haddish – People Expect Us To Be Funny All The Time!

Superstar comedians, Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish, are on the road promoting their latest movie together – “The Secret Life of Pets 2” – and during a recent interview, they revealed some of their biggest insecurities stemming from fame. We may laugh until are stomachs hurt at “Irresponsible” and “She Ready,” but both of them say they can’t be funny at every moment.

Tiffany Haddish, 39, noted:

“They expect us to be funny and cheery all the time but I am a human.”

She continued:

“And I am a woman. I am a nut. I just look at them and they laugh and I don’t know why. They’re like, ‘tell me a joke right now’. And I am like, ‘give me some money because that is what I get paid to do.'”

Kevin, 39, says that while it may be annoying to be a walking 24-hour comedy special, he understands why fans expect constant entertainment. He said:

“When you have a large fan base and they are familiar with you from movies or television or stand-up, that is all they know you as. I don’t get upset because I understand it and just try and make it an impactful moment.”

Meanwhile, he says the pressure he feels stems from having new money. Kevin Hart added:

“I still get anxiety if there’s a long line at a department store and I’m going to charge my card. I don’t know why!”

He says he spent his first big check on throwback collectible jerseys:

“It felt great until I looked at that bank account and realized that I didn’t have money, and said to myself, ‘Where did my money go?’ And looked at a closet full of jerseys and said, ‘Uh-oh. That’s not good.’ In my defense, so many people don’t understand the value of money until they have it, and then no longer have it. So when you have it and lose it, you understand the value of it and its importance.”
