Lil Durk – Detectives Say Footage Shows Him Shooting A Gun In Attempted Murder Case
Lil Durk was in court today stemming from a shooting earlier this year in which he was named one of the prime suspects. The official charges in the case have just been filed.
Back in February, rapper Lil Durk (real name Durk Derrick Banks) was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at legendary Atlanta eatery The Varsity. Atlanta investigators said Durk was at the scene where multiple shell casings were found and at least 18 bullets were fired. The male victim was rushed to a local hospital for his injuries which required surgery. His wounds proved to be nonfatal, and he was eventually released.
Fast forward to today’s court hearing, and local detectives say that they have video footage showing Durk shooting a gun at the victim while he was driving. Based on this new incriminating piece of evidence, the judge in the case ruled that there is probable cause for Durk and his co-defendant to be officially charged with criminal intent to commit murder and possession of a firearm.
Durk is also facing a host of other charges, including aggravated assault, unlawful for employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in crime, in addition to a pair of possession charges—possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Detectives also say a gold chain, $30,000 and a car were stolen from the victim in the shooting. The Atlanta Police Department also state that a witness described seeing Durk pull out a gun before she ran around the building after hearing gunshots. She says she later saw the victim lying in a pool of blood.
