theJasmineBrand.com is now accepting interns! The positions we need filled are research heavy and require broad knowledge of current entertainment and world news. If you are a news junkie, then this may be the perfect fit for you! The internship (which will include a trial period) begins Monday, August 29th and ends Friday, December 23rd. Please review the description below.

Required Experience

Skills:

1.     Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

2.     Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines.

3.     Proven ability to work in a changing, fast-paced, non-hierarchical environment

4.     Be a self-starter, able to work without close supervision

5.     Able to consistently meet deadlines.

6.     Professional capacity to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Knowledge:

  • Functional knowledge of major news outlines, search engines and social networking sites
  • Editorial and production experience in print and electronic media.
  • Adept at reviewing and providing thoughtful feedback for both copy and graphic design layout.
  • Knowledge of web technology as a communications vehicle and resource.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience and ability to interface with all levels of management.

 

Duties will include:

  • Assist in the daily collection of targeted research
  • Maintenance of social networking sites
  • Depending on location, attend appropriate events
  • Serve as a blog correspondent
  • Other projects as needed

 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have reliable/unlimited internet access and the ability to work un-traditional hours, daily (weekends, included…You Sleep. I (we) Blog. :p ). Must have at least 100 Twitter followers and 500 Facebook friends.
