Eva Marcille’s Husband Michael Sterling Representing Dennis McKinley After Police Claim He Stole $4 Sandwich, Says Cops Are Secretly Trying To Charge Him

Michael Sterling, the husband of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Eva Marcille, has taken to social media to defend his client Dennis McKinley, ex-fiance of Porsha Williams, in McKinley’s lawsuit against police in Atlanta.

theJasmineBRAND previously reported that McKinley hired Sterling as his lawyer amid claims he was physically assaulted by an Emory Police Officer. The officer also allegedly accused McKinley of stealing a $4 sandwich, which he had a receipt for.

Now, Sterling has also called out Emory police on behalf of his client. He uploaded footage of the incident and revealed that the police are secretly looking to press charges against McKinley. 

“After falsely accusing my client, Dennis McKinley, a millionaire business owner, of stealing a $4 sandwich, and after the failed response to this shameful episode, @emorypolice are currently working behind the scenes to try and charge Dennis with disorderly conduct because they are upset with the news coverage, they want to cover up for Officer Beth Walsh’s unlawful conduct, and they hate that Dennis and others are standing up to them.”

He added that McKinley isn’t the only person who says they’ve been mistreated by Emory police.

“We have heard from so many people about how poorly they have endured similar treatment at the hands of Emory. This is a pattern of conduct that goes unchecked. So, 5 days later they are trying to manufacture disorderly charges to justify Beth Walsh’s unlawful detention of Dennis.”

He ended with,

“Everyone knows I like to handle my battles in the court room. But, let me just say publicly to Emory @emoryuniversity, you really are just compounding on this awful and shameful incident and we will not stand for this. Your lawyer gave you bad advice.”

Emory also released a statement on the incident and said,

“An Emory Police Department officer detained an individual suspected of not paying for an item. Once the officer learned the individual had purchased it, he was released.”
