Lil Wayne Cancels St. Louis Show: I Was Kicked Out Of The Ritz! + Cops Say There Were Complaints His Room Smelled of Marijuana
Lil Wayne is pulling the plug on his latest show. The 36-year-old rapper was reportedly scheduled to perform Saturday (Sept. 14th) night in St. Louis with Blink 182, at Hollywood Casino. Earlier in the day, Wayne said he was kicked out of the Ritz and he had to leave. See his tweets below.
Reportedly, police said there were calls and complaints about the smell of marijuana stemming from Wayne and his team’s hotel room. Hotel staff is said to have asked them to open the balcony to air the room but Wayne allegedly became upset by the calls made against him and he argued with the hotel staff. Police said Lil Wayne and his crew were in the lobby being argumentative when officers arrived.
Wayne and his team reportedly left voluntarily and the hotel asked police not to take any action. Blink 182 is still set to hit the stage. Neck Deep will open the show at 7:30 p.m.
Wayne made headlines in August, for canceling a show in Irving, California. Click here for the details.
And in July, he allegedly threatened to quit the tour.
