Colin Kaepernick Reps Reveals All 32 NFL Teams Have “Little To No Response” To Interest In Signing Him

Former NFL quarterback, Colin Kaepernick’s Representatives have reached out to all 32 NFL teams inquiring on a possible return for the free-agent but have received “little to no response,” from all teams. In a two page fact sheet, Kaepernick’s sports agent, Jeff Nalley says,

“Not a single team has offered Colin a job since the 2016 season, in which he began his peaceful protest.”

He continues,

“Not a single team has brought Colin in for a workout. Seattle brought Colin in for a visit but did not work him out. No other NFL team has interviewed or worked out Colin in the past three seasons, despite other false statements to the media to the contrary.”

In addition, Kaepernick’s reps says the quarterback’s allege demand for a specific salary are “completely false” and the notion Colin doesn’t want to play aren’t true at all. Nalley then reveals that Kaepernick has continued to stay focused as he’s,

“Working out 5 days a week, for 3 years, in preparation to play again.”

Kaepernick, 32, has not played in the NFL since 2016, when he began his activism and historical protesting against police brutality and racial injustice with kneeling during the national anthem. Since then, the former NFL player has been seemingly blackballed from every franchise. Nalley says that in his over two decades of representation, he’s never seen anyone treated as poorly as Kaepernick,

“In 25 years, I have never seen anything like it.”

Nalley adds,

“It is difficult to think of another young player in NFL history with statistics and character as impressive as Colin’s not being given an opportunity to earn a spot on an NFL roster after what he’s accomplished.”

Many have come to Kaepernick’s defense, including most recent, a statement from Martin Luther King, III. The civil rights activist says boycotting the league will grab the league’s attention to give Kaepernick another opportunity back in the league. He said,

“What would change it overnight is if the public decided, ‘Okay, we’re not going to watch.’”

While he added that this isn’t the most realistic route, he did point out that some type of action needs to be taken after the league allegedly blackballed the former quarterback for protesting against police brutality during the national anthem of NFL games.

King added,

“The industry did blackball him, which is not good. He certainly is one of the most talented quarterbacks even today, probably. There are times when you need strategic quarterbacks who have a proven record. And, certainly, Colin Kaepernick is one of those.”

As previously reported, back in March Kaepernick and Eric Reid announced they have came to an agreement for grievances in settlement against the NFL. Their attorney, Mark Geragos released this statement on the pending settlement.

“As a result of those discussions, the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances. The resolution of this matter is subject to a confidentiality agreement so there will be no further comment by any party.”

According to reports, as a whole Kaepernick and Reid received less than $10 million in total.
