Terry Crews Hasn’t Spoken To Gabrielle Union Since Her AGT Exit, Seemingly Defends Show: It Was The Most Diverse Place I’ve Ever Been
Terry Crews‘ name is Bennett, and he ain’t in it. Late last year, some fans and fellow celebrities rallied behind actress Gabrielle Union after she was reportedly fired from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” after a discrimination dispute, and rumors of a “toxic work environment.” Gabrielle Union allegedly reported an incident to HR in which she was told her hairstyles while on the show were “too Black.”

Terry Crews, “America’s Got Talent’s” host, immediately came under fire for simply tweeting his former co-worker.
“You’re the best, Gabrielle! You will be missed!”

Fans accused him of not sticking up for Gabrielle during the scandal.
Despite Gabrielle Union’s support of his #MeToo testimony, Terry Crews recently told “The Today Show” that he has not spoken to Gabrielle Union since her departure.

He said,
“I haven’t reached out, but I haven’t heard anything.”
He even seemingly defended “America’s Got Talent” on the basis that he isn’t a woman:
“First of all, I can’t speak for sexism because I’m not a woman, but I can speak on behalf of any racism comments. That was never my experience on ‘America’s Got Talent.’ In fact, it was the most diverse place I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment.”
Let us not forget that former AGT judge, Heidi Klum, also failed to back Gabrielle Union up, saying:
“I’ve only had an amazing experience. I can’t speak for [Gabrielle Union]. I didn’t experience the same thing. To me, everyone treats you with the utmost respect. I’ve never seen anything that was weird or hurtful.”

As for the show’s network, a formal investigation has been underway at NBC since Gabrielle Union’s exit. Paul Telegdy, NBC’s entertainment chief, says that changes will be made if they deem it necessary:
“I’m very confident if we learn something…we will put new practices in place if necessary. We certainly take anyone’s critique of what it means to come to work here incredibly seriously…We want to always go after the truth. That’s our culture here, you can ask anyone who works here.”
