Kylie Jenner & Kevin Durant Called On By U.S. Surgeon General To Convince Young People Of Severity Of Coronavirus
Athletes and social media influencers are now being relied on to help spread the word about the dangers of the coronavirus. U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams name-dropped Kylie Jenner, Kevin Durant, and Donovan Mitchell when explaining the need to let younger people know how serious the coronavirus is.
Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell are two NBA players who recently tested positive for the virus.

He told “Good Morning America” host Michael Strahan:
“I have a 15 and a 14-year-old and the more I tell them not to do something, the more they want to do it. What I really think we need to do… was get our influencers, Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, we need to get Kylie Jenner, we need to get our social media influencers out there and helping folks understand that this is serious, people are dying.”

He included that studies show younger people could be at a higher risk than initially thought. He added,
“Think about your grandmother, think about your grandfather. Think about the fact that you’re spreading disease which could ultimately be what kills them.”
While Kylie Jenner hasn’t tested positive, it’s safe to say he believes her influence could have an impact as she has more than 166 million followers on Instagram alone.
