Former Knicks Star Stephon Marbury Trying To Buy 10 Million Masks For New York

Former New York Knicks star, Stephon Marbury is giving back to New York healthcare workers. Over the weekend (March 29th), Marbury, who played in New York for five of his 14 year career, shared that he was working with a mask supplier.

According to reports, the former NBA guard is planning to send 10 million N95 masks from China for hospital workers and other first responders handling the coronavirus pandemic. Marbury, who lives in Beijing explains:

“At the end of the day, I am from Brooklyn. This is something that is close and dear to my heart as far as being able to help New York.”

He adds,

“I have family there in Coney Island, a lot of family … who are affected by this, so I know how important it is for people to have masks during this time.”

According to reports, the masks will be delivered 2 million at a time over five weeks.

In addition, Marbury also documented his coronavirus quarantine post 14 days in isolation. He explained:

“Everybody has a mask on. I don’t know who told y’all that y’all didn’t need to have a mask on. This is real. Don’t get it twisted.”

In mid-March (March 13th), Marbury documented his coronavirus test as some type of healthcare provider prepared and examined him.
