Black Enterprise Founder Earl G. Graves Sr. Dies [Condolences]

Very sad news. Black Enterprise founder Earl G. Graves Sr. died April 6, at the age of 85. The publication confirmed the news stating:

We will evermore celebrate his life and legacy, in this, our 50th Anniversary Year, and beyond.

Earl Graves Sr.’s son expressed that he battled Alzheimer’s.

Earl Gilbert Graves Sr. was an entrepreneur, publisher, businessman, philanthropist, and advocate of African-American businesses.

A graduate of Morgan State University, he was the founder of Black Enterprise magazine and chairman of the media company Earl G. Graves, Ltd. He was the director for Aetna and Executive Board member of the Boy Scouts of America. He is the father of Earl G. Graves Jr.
