Kylie Jenner Named The World’s Youngest Self-Made Billionaire By ‘Forbes’ For The Second Year In A Row
Remember when Travis Scott rapped, “Baby mama covered Forbes, got these other b*tches shook” in 2018’s “Sicko Mode”? This will also be the case in 2020. Kylie Jenner will be crowned the youngest self-made billionaire this year just as she was last year! Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics empire has only grown since its conception in 2015, with the help of her unprecedented sell of 51% of her shares to cosmetics giant, COTY, Inc.
Kylie Cosmetics – which includes her infamous Lip Kits, complexion products, and now skincare – was sold to the company, putting $600 million in Kylie’s pocket. The business is now valued at more than $1.2 billion, and Forbes made sure to address the controversy of an already-rich young adult being donned “self-made.” The Forbes article read:
“Yes, self-made (despite a lot of help from her famous family, she didn’t inherit her business—she built it). And yes, billionaire (she’s worth $1 billion).”
The youngest of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” fam addressed the terminology last year:
“I can’t say I’ve done it by myself. If they’re just talking finances, technically, yes, I don’t have any inherited money. But I have had a lot of help and a huge platform.”
Congratulations, Kylie Jenner!
