Former “The Chi” Actor Jason Mitchell Arrested On Drugs & Weapons Charges
Update #2 (April 27th): Actor Jason Mitchell, formerly of Showtime’s “The Chi” series, has denied drug allegations against him. His agent, Dr. Glenn Toby, said the car he was in during the now-infamous arrest didn’t belong to him, according to TMZ. Instead, he alleged that it was a rental car from a friend that he was in so he could transport his family to his mother’s house. He was said to be trying to get his family to safety as he was afraid they could contract the coronavirus where they previously were.
Police have yet to confirm if the car was really his friend’s rental.
Meanwhile, he celebrated his daughter’s birthday on Instagram Sunday (April 26th).

Original Story: Actor Jason Mitchell was arrested on Wednesday (April 22nd) on weapons and drug charges, in Mississippi.
The 33-year-old Louisiana actor most recently starred on “The Chi”.
