Rep. Maxine Waters: My Sister Is Dying Of Coronavirus!
Prayers are going out for the sister of California Representative Maxine Waters. The congresswoman declared her sister is currently on her death bed after being diagnosed with the coronavirus.
The House of Representatives was getting ready to vote on a $480 billion for COVID-19 Thursday (April 23rd) when Maxine Waters took the floor, pulled down her face mask, and announced the sad news about her sister.
“I’m going to take a moment to dedicate this legislation to my dear sister who is dying in a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri right now, infected by the coronavirus.”
She showed her backing for the bill, which President Donald Trump said he would also sign should it reach him.

The bill includes $380 billion for small businesses and $100 billion for hospitals. It will also cover the costs of more testing for the coronavirus, which is also a huge topic as officials attempt to get a handle on the disease.
Unfortunately, Rep. Maxine Waters’ statement comes just after Senator Elizabeth Warren announced she lost her brother to COVID-19.
She wrote in an Instagram post Thursday (April 23rd),
“My oldest brother, Don Reed, died from coronavirus on Tuesday evening. He joined the Air Force at 19 and spent his career in the military, including five and a half years off and on in combat in Vietnam. He was charming and funny, a natural leader.
What made him extra special was his smile—quick and crooked, it always seemed to generate its own light, one that lit up everyone around him.
I’m grateful to the nurses and frontline staff who took care of him, but it’s hard to know that there was no family to hold his hand or to say “I love you” one more time—and no funeral for those of us who loved him to hold each other close. I’ll miss you dearly my brother.”
Prayers for everyone impacted by COVID-19!
