‘Insecure’ Actor Kendrick Sampson Hit By Police w/ Batons & Rubber Bullets While Protesting In L.A.
Kendrick Sampson of HBO’s “Insecure” has joined in the civil unrest and protests in light of the death of George Floyd. He was a Minneapolis black man who died at the hands of a white officer, Derek Chauvin, in a brutal incident caught on tape.
Kendrick Sampson hit the streets of Los Angeles as thousands across the nation protest after Derek Chauvin was charged with manslaughter and third-degree murder. Many are calling for the other three officers who were involved in the incident to be arrested and charged as well.
In one clip, Kendrick Sampson is seen going head-to-head with officers on the scene and appears to get jabbed and hit with a baton.

In another clip he said,
“They came at me like I’m… literally standing there… and they wanted to literally hit me!… I’m good now!”

He later confirmed on Twitter that he was hit with rubber bullets and batons several times. He wrote,

He also led protestors in the demands to “prosecute killer cops” and “defend police.”
