Funkmaster Flex: Popular, Modern Day Rappers Are Actors! They Don’t Live The Life They Portray!
Hot 97 disc jockey Funkmaster Flex (real name Aston George Taylor Jr.) openly shared his opinion on popular rappers in the modern era via Instagram. The 51-year-old record producer said he feels modern day rappers that are popular, don’t live the life that they portray in music videos.
His message reads:
FYI: EVERY POPULAR RAPPER IN THE LAST 10 YEARS IS ELIGIBLE TO SNITCH! WHY? CAUSE YALL AINT GOT NO BODIES AND NO “REAL” CASES! JUST GUN CHARGES CAUSE YALL AFRAID TO KNUCKLE UP! THATS NOT A STREE DUDE! THATS CALLED BEING SCARED! MODERN RAPPERS ARE ACTORS!
Funkmaster Flex continued his opinion with the caption:
MODERN DAY POPULAR RAPPERS ARE ACTORS! CIVILIANS! THEY REALLY DONT LIVE THE LIFE THEY PORTRAY IN VIDEOS! BY THE WAY THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT! BUT DONT FLIP FLOP BETWEEN GANGSTER AND CIVILIAN! THERES “REAL” DUDES PUTTING IN STREET WORK LAUGHING AT YALL! #JustMyOpinion

Some of Funkmaster Flex’s followers agreed with his stance.

While others thoughts his claims were ridiculous.
