Rep. Maxine Waters Stops To Help Black Man Pulled Over By LA Police
Rep. Maxine Waters of California’s 43rd congressional district happened to be driving around her Los Angeles neighborhood, when she noticed a black man being detained by police. So she pulled over so that she could make sure things didn’t go left. She told the person who was recording her,
“They stopped a brother, so I stopped to see what they were doing,”
She then went on to admit that she parked in the wrong space, but didn’t mind getting a ticket, if it meant she was protecting a black man while in police custody,
“They said I’m in the wrong place and that they’re going to give me a ticket,That’s OK as long as I watch them.”
A Twitter user posted the video with caption,
“Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA 43) making sure the brother pulled over is having his rights protected! Queen!”
