Wendy Williams: My Talk Show Is Returning!

Wendy Williams announced on her Instagram that her talk show will be returning sooner rather than later. The Wendy Show is set to return to daytime television on September 21. Wendy Williams made the exciting announcement writing,

“The 12th season of WENDY starts SEPTEMBER 21!!! I can’t wait to get back to all of YOU and to my AMAZING staff and crew!!! I’m sooo excited to bring you silly, funny, glamour and hopefully brighten your day during these crazy times that we’re all living in…even if for just an hour. I miss you and can’t wait to get back in my purple chair and show you what we did to the set. I LOVE you for watching!”

Back in May, the 56 year old talk show host announced that she was taking a break from the show due to fatigue caused by her Graves Disease.

Last week, Wendy provided her fans and viewers with an update about the show prior to this week’s announcement. On Friday July 10th, the New Jersey native took to her Instagram to update her fans on The Wendy Williams Show’s return. From her New York apartment she told fans that she was ready to return, but only in the studio. Wendy Williams states:

“How you doing? Welcome to my apartment. You know it’s a hard time for us, but we’re in this together like they say…Thank you also for giving me love and asking when I’m coming back. Our show is a part of phase four, right now here in New York City we are in phase three I can’t wait to get back!

Wendy proceeded to shout out peaceful protesters, parents home schooling their children and essential workers before to pleaded with her viewers to wear masks and sanitize their hands:

 “Most important thing I do believe still…if you just wear your mask, like…put your mask on. When you’re around people that you don’t know and you don’t have room to breathe, put your mask on. What’s matter with you?…Wash your hands in public or wear the gloves and then throw them away before you get in your house. We got to take care of one another and is really kind of easy on the baseline.”

Wendy ended the clip saying how excited she was to return to the studio:

“The masks, the gloves, the antiseptics…a hug and a smile a little laughter, I can’t wait to see you again…when the double doors open because I’m not doing this!…see you soon at the studio.”
