Tiffany Haddish Is ‘Hesitant’ To Have Children Amidst Racial Tensions In America: They’re Gonna Be Hunted Or Killed, Why Would I Put Someone Through That?
Comedian Tiffany Haddish has fearlessly chased and conquered her dreams after nearly two decades in Hollywood, but there’s one thing she’s avoided: having children. Tiffany Haddish recently explained that she’s hesitant to bring new life into the world due to the rising racial tensions in America. She said:
“I’m a little older now and people are always asking when I’m gonna have some babies. There’s a part of me that would like to do that, and I always make up these excuses like, ‘Oh, I need a million dollars in the bank before I do that, I need this, I need that.’ But really, it’s that I would hate to give birth to someone that looks like me…knowing that they’re gonna be hunted or killed. Like, why would I put someone through that?”

Tiffany Haddish has taken part in many of the recent protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, and yet she admits that she’s afraid to be pulled over by police. Last month she commented:
“I can’t even drive to Beverly Hills without getting pulled over — and I got a Tesla…I shouldn’t be afraid when I see those lights come on behind me, right? I shouldn’t feel like, ‘Is this gonna be the last day that I’m on earth?’ I shouldn’t feel like it’s dangerous to be born the way I was born.”

Interestingly enough, Tiffany seemingly took in foster children at one point. She, too, is a product of the foster care system. An Instagram caption read:
“Me and my Play Kids. Real talk I Love my Foster kids! I am so Happy to spend time with my Real ones.”

Lastly, Tiffany Haddish shared what she feels is the key to conquering racism.
“We’re all trying to figure out, how do you fix this? How do you stop this? And I think we have to figure out how to change people’s hearts, and that’s what I’ve been trying to do my whole career…Maybe we don’t all agree on the same things, but we need to just find some common ground and move forward as human beings.”
