Kanye West is out to rescue his community from what he says is a slavery mentality and lifestyle in the music and professional sports industries.
The rapper posted several messages on Twitter Monday night (Sept. 14th), and shared his thoughts on the importance of people in the black community becoming owners.
Kanye West by refusing to release any music until he’s released from his contract with Sony and Universal. He continued:
“I’m not industry bro … I don’t care… I’m in service to Christ … we need world healing … I miss my brothers… I refuse to argue with black men on labels we don’t own… even twitter”
“I have the utmost respect for all brothers … we need to link and respect each other… no more dissing each other on labels we don’t own”
He to “stop killing each other” and said that while his ego often takes over, God doesn’t look at how much money one has. He then encouraged his followers to live a life of love and said he misses and loves his brothers and friends.
He continued:
“I need to see everybody’s contracts at Universal and Sony. I’m not gonna watch my people be enslaved. I’m putting my life on the line for my people. The music industry and the NBA are modern day slave ships I’m the new Moses.”
The father of four later added that he wants his children to own his masters before he shared a text conversation between him and someone who appeared to be a member of his team. That person was brainstorming ways to get him out of his contract with Universal and Sony and mentioned that Kanye West’s previous arch-enemy Taylor Swift had problems getting her own masters back.
