Former NBA Player Delonte West Seen Panhandling, Multiple Parties Trying To Reach Out To Help Him

Sadly, a man appearing to be former NBA player Delonte West was spotted out seemingly panhandling on the side of the road. A post on Instagram showed the man holding a sign that seemed to be asking for help.

The caption stated:

Former #NBA player #DelonteWest was recently spotted by fans in North #Dallas holding a sign.?? #ClevelandCavaliers #DallasMavericks #BostonCeltics

This isn’t the first time photos or footage has caught him in this state.  Earlier this year, a video circulated on Twitter of a man being beaten up and a Twitter user confirmed the identity of the man, claiming West was a former classmate:

“Apparently Delonte West was seen getting beat up in the street this Morning. I went to school with him and it’s crazy to see just how his life has gone downhill since the NBA.”

A closer look at the 36-year-old was, later, released with him sitting on a curb in dirty clothing, screaming about military affiliations:

“Man I was walking down the street! The man approached me with a gun! I don’t give a f*ck! I don’t give a f*ck! I’m the leader of the godd*mn motherf*ckin’ Navy seals! And the Army, and the Navy! I’m worst than President Trump! I’m the real motherf*ckin’ President!”

Social media users began expressing their concerns for West following the recent picture being uploaded.

According to reports, multiple parties including NBA Players Association, Clippers coach Doc Rivers, and former NBA baller Jameer Nelson have tried to contact him for months in hopes to help get him on the right track.
