Barack Obama Slams Donald Trump’s Election Fraud Accusations: He Doesn’t Like To Lose & Never Admits Loss
Barack Obama is speaking out about President Donald Trump‘s recent election fraud accusations.
In a new interview with CBS’ Scott Pelley, President Barack Obama said of the voter fraud claims from the Trump administration:
“They appear to be motivated, in part, because the president doesn’t like to lose and never admits loss.”
In the days since the election, President Donald Trump has boldly refused to concede the election and prepare for the transition of the Joe Biden administration. Instead, he has reportedly opted to accuse voting officials in various states–particularly battleground states like Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Michigan–of unsubstantiated voting fraud and demanding that votes in these states not be allowed to be certified.
The day before Election Day, President Barack Obama appeared in Atlanta, Georgia to rally once again for Joe Biden and to encourage Georgia residents to vote. He called out the Trump administration for their handling of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and criticized President Trump amid reports that he planned to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, after the election:
“We had a president who is pretending it [the coronavirus] was just like a bad flu. And now Trump’s chief of staff finally admits what we’ve known all along. He was quoted just a few days ago. He said ‘we’re not going to control the pandemic.’ Well, yeah, we noticed you definitely are not.”

While some Republicans have congratulated President-elect Joe Biden on his win with no issue, others in the party are taking President Donald Trump‘s stance and say that his accusations should be seriously considered. However, Barack Obama feels otherwise. In an interview scheduled to air Sunday night (November 15) on both “60 Minutes” and “CBS Sunday Morning,” Barack Obama said:
“I’m more troubled by the fact that other Republican officials who clearly know better are going along with this, are humoring him in this fashion. It is one more step in delegitimizing not just the incoming Biden administration, but democracy generally. And that’s a dangerous path.”
