Cynthia Bailey Reportedly Suing Ex-Husband Peter Thomas For Unpaid Loan

It looks like things aren’t quite officially over between Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey and her former husband Peter Thomas.  The ex-couple shared much of their relationship on the hit reality television show, including their collaboration on Peter Thomas‘ Bar One Atlanta lounge.

Reportedly, to help her ambitious ex’s lounge come to fruition, Cynthia Bailey loaned Thomas a whopping $170,000 to purchase the space, and she wants her money back.

In a 2017 interview with ESSENCE, she spoke about the bar saying,

“…we actually have unfinished business. I’m his partner at Bar One Atlanta. We’re building it out now. This was a project that we started while we were together, and we kind of put it on hold while we were kind of not liking each other so much.”

The former couple, who finalized their divorce in March of 2017, have had their public ups and downs but seemingly kept a cool facade.  But according to Straight From The A, Cynthia is looking to recoup the money that she loaned and has now taken the matter up with the courts.

While Bar One in Atlanta has undergone foreclosure, Peter Thomas has seemingly continued to thrive with other business ventures, including another Bar One location in Miami’s South Beach.

Bailey is newly remarried to sportscaster and television personality, Mike Hill.  The two wed in October causing controversy over their timing to have a wedding with a large gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hopefully Cynthia and Peter are able to work out their differences.  He is reportedly set to begin payments to Cynthia in January 2021.
