Insecure’s Kendrick Sampson Posts Video Of Colombian Police Officer Punching Him: He Pulled His Gun On Me & Dragged Me Through The Streets
Kendrick Sampson of HBO’s Insecure is opening up about a brutal encounter he had with Colombian police.
He took to Instagram to post a video of him and a young man being stopped by police. In the video, one officer is seen punching Kendrick Sampson and cocking his gun before pulling him away.
Kendrick Sampson detailed more about the incident in the caption and wrote:
“Cartagena is AMAZING but this is the 6th time I was stopped in 5 days. It happens to Black Colombians often. I’m told stopping is policy but what is NOT is they reached down my underwear aggressively, slap my arms 5 times hard, punch me in my jaw and pull his gun on me. He then cuffed me and dragged me through the streets. I did not resist any legal procedure.”
He also thanked the person who recorded the footage and a friend who shared it on social media.

Unfortunately, this isn’t Kendrick’s first physical run-in with the police. During the heat of Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles, he was shot with rubber bullets and hit with police batons. That incident was also filmed and shared online.
