Mystikal Cleared Of Rape Charges Due To A Lack Of Evidence
American rapper Mystikal, born Michael Lawrence Tyler, has been cleared of the rape charges that he was facing. On Thursday, December 17th, a Caddo Parish grand jury found that there wasn’t enough evidence against the ‘Danger’ rapper to move forward with the case and ruled to drop the charges altogether. According to Mystikal’s attorney, the charges were dropped because
“new scientific evidence emerged causing the Grand Jury to take a second look at the rape allegations made against [him].”

Mystikal, 50, has maintained his innocence since 2016 when the rape charges were initially brought against him. As we previously reported, in 2016 Mystikal pleaded ‘not guilty’ to first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping charges that stemmed from an alleged assault that took place at a downtown Shreveport casino. According to reports, He was one of three people who were charged in connection with the alleged assault. Mystikal served 18 months for the charges he faced and was released in February of 2019 after putting together $3 million for his bond.
