Ayesha Curry Receives Backlash For Posing Nude, Fans Claim She’s Being A ‘Hypocrite’

Ayesha Curry is receiving criticism and being called a ‘hypocrite’ by some fans. The 31-year-old cookbook author and wife of basketball player Steph Curry posed nude for an upcoming issue of her magazine, Sweet July. On Friday (Feb.12), Curry took to Instagram to share the nude photo and promote her upcoming issue. She captioned the post,

” from our @sweetjuly BODY feature. So many natural wellness and skin remedies in this issue!”

She went on to reveal that her husband, Steph Curry picked this photo to be included in the upcoming magazine issue.

“@stephcurry30 got to pick the photo. Shins and shoulders ya’ll, shins and shoulders.”

Almost immediately after sharing her post on social media, Ayesha Curry was confronted by several fans who pointed out an old tweet that seemingly went against her recent decision to post nude. In a 2015 tweet, Curry said,

“Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters”. 

Ayesha Curry responded to a few of her naysayers. One person commented on her post, quoting that very tweet from 2015.  Curry defended herself and replied,

“When you realize I was talking about a person wearing nipple pasties leaving a Starbucks and I thought it was hilarious…but no one cared t0 ask.”

Another social media user commented, questioning the Curry’s Christianity.

“I thought you and your husband are a Christian couple.”

Ayesha respectfully replied,

“very much so…”

NBA star/husband, Steph Curry took to Instagram to show his wife some love and support. The 32-year-old Golden State Warriors player shared some images from his wife’s upcoming magazine issue. He captioned the post,

“There goes my baby!!!! My Valentine. She did that @sweetjuly magazine out now.”
