Bobby Shmurda is officially out of jail.
The rapper (real name Ackquille Jean Pollard), whose claim to fame was 2014’s Hot Boy single, was released from Clinton Correctional Facility in New York early Tuesday morning, Feb. 23rd. His sentence ended 10 months early.

The facility’sTime Allowance Committee granted him an early release thanks to good behavior and his involvement in the prison’s programs.
Still, he’s on parole until Feb. 23, 2026.
Bobby Shmurda first went to jail in December 2014. He received credit for time served when he was sentenced to six to seven years after agreeing to a plea deal for conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon in 2016.
While he’s out on good behavior now, while in prison he received 11 violations. He allegedly had a shank, drugs, and fought while behind bars before being on his best behavior for an early release.
According to reports, he plans to enjoy time with his family before getting back to the music.
His mother teased what appears to be an upcoming project on Instagram just hours before he was freed.
